The following Terms and Conditions and your use of our website are governed by English law and by placing an order with us you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to them. We are a UK based company and hence this website is designed and operated for use within the United Kingdom and under UK law. Whilst we do accept and process orders for dispatch to parts of the EU we cannot give any warranty that the use of this website or the placing of any order through this website from outside of the UK border complies with any applicable non UK laws or regulations.
Bearing in mind the nature of the products we make and sell ie predominately by weight the contract between you, the customer, and Thomas’s Fine Foods Ltd T/As Emmett’s will only exist once your order has been accepted and fulfilled by us. It is at this point that the credit or debit card given at the time of confirmation of order via telephone will be charged. Most of of the products we sell are not fixed unit prices but are charged according to their weight and hence the price ‘quoted’ on the order will invariably differ (higher or lower) to that charged. This does not affect the customer’s statutory rights.
When you place your order we then ring you up to confirm the order and receive payment details. We accept Visa or MasterCard with all transactions being in GBP sterling. Your details will be kept securely and destroyed once your order has been fulfilled.
A delivery charge will be added to your order where appropriate. This can be affected by the size of the order, the weight of the order,the type of products ordered or the location being delivered to.
Via a nationwide courier we deliver throughout the UK using polystyrene insulated boxes and ice packs. Depending upon the time of the year, the products ordered and the customer requirements we endeavour to dispatch orders to suit on a ’24 hour next day delivery service’. This covers the vast majority of the UK. However Highlands and Islands can and will take longer and a surcharge will be applied
If we are unable to arrange delivery on the specified day, due to adverse weather conditions or other matters beyond our control, we will endeavour to arrange delivery at the earliest opportunity and cannot be accountable or liable for such matters.

We take every care to ensure that the description and specification and pictures displayed  of the products we make and sell are correct at the time of going to press.
Returns Policy
If you are not entirely happy or delighted with the products purchased because of damage in transit we will be happy to offer a refund or replacement to suit. We cannot be liable for individual taste.
We sell wine via our website and you must be 18 years or over to order or receive wines. By placing an order you confirm that you and/or the recipient are at least 18 years old.
We have never shared or made available our customer date base with any 3rd party. Any details we hold are purely for the use of Emmett’s postal mailing or emailing Emmett’s marketing catalogue at various points during the year.
