James Martin’s Saturday Morning Show Features Emmett’s Black Bacon
The popular TV chef, James Martin, has featured our very own Suffolk Black streaky bacon on his Saturday Morning Show. As fans of the show, we’re proud to have been praised so highly by James as he describes Emmett’s bacon as - “There’s bacon, and there’s bacon…”. On his show, James is filmed making his ultimate chicken and bacon with caesar salad which is a great hit as a sharing dish and looks delicious. If you missed the show first time around you can catch up with all of the episodes or just skip to the first show which is the one we’re featured in here.

Who Is James Martin?
James Martin has had a life of food having begun his formal training at the age of 16 when he attended Scarborough Technical College. Having won student of the year in each of his three years at the college James was brought to London to work with Antony Warrall Thompson. After a spell of working around the kitchens of French châteaux James opened the new Hotel and Bistro du Vin in Winchester at just 21. Always ambitious, as head chef, James changed the menu every day.
James’ TV career began in 1996 as a regular team member on Ready Steady Cook. Having appeared on numerous shows since ‘96 James became the presenter of BBC One’s Saturday Kitchen in 2006. Having quit the hit BBC show in 2016 James toured his first live show across the UK. From 2017 to present he’s been presenting his own show - Saturday Kitchen with James Martin on ITV.
Why Did He Choose Emmett’s Bacon?
James has been a fan of Emmett’s products for quite some time and he particularly likes our Suffolk black bacon. He’s not the only one, as our bacon is award winning and has a famous reputation due to its outstanding quality.
In his recipe, James has used our black streaky bacon, but you could try our sliced black back bacon which is marinaded in black porter beer, molasses and natural brown sugar. Or if you’re looking to add something special to your BBQ this summer why not add Emmett’s Suffolk black ribs to your shopping list? These ribs are cured naturally before we marinade them and smoke them over beech wood in our very own smokehouse behind the shop.
